Abstract

One of the major issues facing the nation seems to be industrial sickness. Even in the world's most industrialized nations, industrial sickness is widespread. The main issue is that it is much more widespread and widespread in India. In recent years, it has grown to an alarming size. According to the available data, the number of large industrial units with bank credit of at least Rs. one crore and those classified as sick rose from 289 at the end of June 1978 to 463 at the end of June 1983. The bank loan locked up in these units increased by Rs. 1055 crores over a five-year period, from Rs. 858 crores at the end of June 1978 to Rs. 1913.10 crores at the end of June 1983.
