PRE AND POST PANDEMIC FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF LEADING INSURANCE COMPANIES IN INDIA

Abstract

Unemployment and economic expenses from lockdowns have exacerbated instability in the Indian economy following the COVID-19 outbreak. The primary goal of the research is to examine the before and post-pandemic effects on the performance of India's biggest insurance firms. Also, comprehend the present state of Indian insurance firms. The data collected from the firms' annual reports and performance highlight records was evaluated and interpreted to follow their performance trends. The major findings show that the pandemic had an unfavorable influence on the insurance sector's development in 2020. The insurance sector has been seeing good growth since April 2021 and will continue at this rate.
