This study presents a comprehensive theoretical investigation into the influence of dyons—hypothetical particles carrying both electric and magnetic charges—on the propagation characteristics of electromagnetic waves. By extending classical Maxwellian electrodynamics to include dual-charge sources, we derive modified field equations that reveal significant changes in wave behavior within dyonic media. The analysis focuses on three core parameters: wave speed, polarization, and attenuation. Results indicate that the wave speed becomes anisotropic and dependent on the spatial distribution of dyonic charges, deviating from the standard relation governed by permittivity and permeability. Polarization is found to undergo complex transformations, including elliptical and rotating states, due to the intrinsic coupling between electric and magnetic field vectors introduced by the dual charges. Additionally, attenuation mechanisms are enhanced, as magnetic current densities contribute to energy dissipation beyond conventional conductive or dielectric losses. These theoretical insights suggest that dyonic interactions may lead to new wave modes and field dynamics, with potential applications in the design of advanced metamaterials, quantum electrodynamics, and theoretical models of high-energy plasmas or cosmological phenomena. The work not only enriches the conceptual framework of electrodynamics but also lays the foundation for further studies on wave-matter interactions in dual-charge environments, offering a novel perspective on electromagnetic theory.
